About me
Paula Gumina serves as the State Coordinator for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth Program at the Colorado Department of Education. She brings with her over fifteen years serving the state of Colorado in implementing cross agency projects and initiatives. She holds a B.A. from American University in Washington, DC in Public Affairs and a Master’s Certificate from the University of Denver in Human Capacity in Organizations. Paula lives in Broomfield with her family and loves to explore the beautiful state of Colorado.
From 2014-2017, Paula convened and facilitated the Colorado Higher Education Taskforce for Unaccompanied Youth Experiencing Homelessness, and was a member of the Higher Education Committee for the National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth. Before joining the Colorado Department of Education Paula worked as the Learning and Development Consultant for the Colorado Workforce Development Council where she designed and delivered training and technical assistance across state agencies on topics including Human Centered Design and strategies for taking action toward greater equity in organizations.
